This base has proven to be solid for nearly ALL types of "add in" cookies. First, I'll list the base, then potential add ins.
1 and 1/2 cups oats
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
mix together

1 cup brown sugar
1/2-3/4 cup vegan butter (Miyokos) (refer to * at bottom)
beat together, then add...
2 - 3 tbs maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla 
2 tbs oat milk

then add your add ins/types of cookies:
oat chocolate chip: mix in chocolate chips at the end
for gooey chocolate chip cookies, use huge chunks of chocolate to fold in
almond cookies: add in 1 1/2 tbs of almond extract to brown sugar and butter mixture
bake for 9-12 minutes @ 375

*for crispier on the outside, gooey on the outside use just over 1/2 c (about 3/4) butter
